Matthew Land is President of Universal Field Services, Inc and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Matthew assumed his current role with Universal in 2020 after serving as Executive Vice President of Universal’s Private Sector Projects Division for the previous eleven years. Over the past decade he has spearheaded Universal’s efforts in the Pipeline and Electric Transmission industries, while developing Universal’s GIS department and organically growing their survey and mapping subsidiary and unmanned aircraft capabilities. Additionally, Matthew expanded Universal’s technological capabilities in Universal’s client-software capabilities and offerings. He has led the efforts to form a fully integrated client offering, recruiting key personnel to help develop and execute the policies and standards to maintain Universal’s status as the best-in-class service provider across multiple industries.

Matthew joined Universal after years working for a major Wall Street broker dealer. Matthew graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Political Science and served as Columbia’s captain of the men’s basketball team in NCAA’s Division 1. He is active in the International Right of Way Association and has also been a member of the Southern Gas Association and American Association of Petroleum Landmen.
